One of my sweet friends had a baby last week so I decided to sew her up something cute. I used a charm pack of Bella by Lotta Jansdotter that I picked up at sample spree last year and paired it with a light gray Kona.
I decided to take it a step above patchwork squares and try out a Half Square Triangle quilt.I'm so glad I did. I love how this turned out. Being pretty small (34" x 34") it was a really quick sew.
Nature's Touch by Pellon.
I just love how crinkly this one looks after it's washed. I must make more quilts! Sewing this one got me thinking that I need to make a couple of baby things for my own baby that is due to arrive in just few short months. Yikes! I need to get my hands on some good boy fabric, any suggestions?
Want to see what I had under my machine today?
JUST FOR YOU, and we need some more sewn items to show off. I'm upcycling my daughter's old Liberty dress into the Saturday Night Tunic that is pictured on the front cover. I'll show you the rest soon.
Bye for now!
