Garden Tiles Bag

I sold some items at the Gleason Park Art show last weekend with my friend Stephanie. Sadly I did not get a picture of our set up.  But here's the story behind one of the bags I had for sale. I finally got around to making up a bag that has been rolling around in my head for while. I'm calling it the Garden Tiles Bag.  We've just recently remodeled our bathroom and I was inspired to put that pretty subway tile stagger pattern in a fabric format.

I'm in love with this bag.  The fabric on the front panel is from Anna Maria Horner's Hand drawn Garden line.

I added outside pockets this time around which I'm pretty excited about.

What do you think?  Should I make a pattern for this one?  I think it would make a perfect diaper bag with a a few more pockets on the inside.

Linking this to Make It, Wear It

  1. This is such a cute bag. I love the elastic sides and the fabric subway tile. Great job!

  2. I love this bag! I love how you put things together, so simple, yet very functional, and very pretty! Thank you for sharing the pictures. Yes you should make a pattern for this.:) but that is just my opinion.

  3. The bag is great! I love the 'tiles' panels :) Such lovely colours.

  4. Great bag! I was just wondering which pattern you used, then read your question. Looks like it would make a great sewing pattern!

  5. I would love to know how to make this bag. I love pockets, they help me organize my things in a bag so I don't have to stir and dig for my keys, etc. Please share a tutorial with us and we can share pictures back. Your design is very nice, different than the average bag.. just like us LOL

  6. YES! Make a Pattern! This is beautiful, it just popped right out at me from the Ellison Lane linky. I can see this kind of tote in the Love Patchwork & Quilting Magazine, this looks like their kind of style you should market it to them.
